The Training

The Macarra BJJ lifestyle experience will offer the participant several sessions per day, morning and late afternoon and evening with small group jiu jitsu instruction, lots of open mat time and plenty of one on one time with Master Marcio Stambowsky, coral belt 7th degree under the late Rolls Gracie and our other top-level black belts.

Still want more? The mats will be open 24/7 for additional rolling, drilling or mobility work.

The Food

A large part of living the jiu jitsu lifestyle is good healthy food to fuel your sessions on the mat. With this in mind, we will be offering the best food for breakfast and lunch every day of camp full of fresh fruits, juices and other high quality fresh food to keep our athletes and their families in top condition.

For dinner, choose from dozens of delicious local places, vegetarian options, burgers, and much more within a short walk of the hotel, or eat in the award winning Hotel Santa Fe restaurant. There's even a shop a block away that makes epic acai bowls!


Instructor Bios

Master Marcio Stambowsky

Lineage: Mitsuyo Maeda > Carlos Gracie > Helio Gracie > Rolls Gracie > Marcio Stambowsky

Master Marcio Stambowsky, also known as Macarrão, is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coral belt (7th degree), who is one of the famous 5 men to have been graded as a black belts by the legendary Rolls Gracie, mentioned as the "Famous Five". Stambowsky, who was one of the top competitors of in the 1980′s, is also the father of a prolific grappling competitor, Neiman Gracie Stambowsky.


Caio Terra

Caio Terra is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Master Paulo Maurício Strauch being also one of this sport’s most accomplished rooster-weights (57,50 kg/127.0 lbs). Terra is known for his motto “Technique Conquers All”, an expression he tested successfully on numerous occasions, being arguably the most successful 127 lbs athlete to compete in the open weight division. Caio Terra’s outspoken nature, particularly against Performance Enhancers’ (PED) use in the sport was also an important step towards the drug testing enforced today by the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF). Caio is a four-time Rio de Janeiro state champion, a five-time Brazilian National Champion, and thirteen-time World Medalist, the ONLY eight time International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) Black Belt World No-Gi Champion. Additionally, he was the IBJJF Black Belt World Champion (with gi) in 2008 and 2013.


Kroyler Gracie

Kroyler Gracie is the grandson of the late Grandmaster Helio Gracie. Kroyler has been learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since he was a young child as it is tradition in his family. Also an avid competitor Kroyler has competed in the Mundials, Pan Ams, Hoosier and Michigan State opens, C3, Ohio Grappling Challenge Black Belt invitational, Gracie Worlds, and many other competitions in the Midwest region and collecting a large number of victories and medals along his journey. Currently he teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Self Defense full time at Kroyler Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Elkhart, Indiana.


Eric Bydairk

Eric started out in wrestling in 1989. After graduating college from Lock Haven University he continued to study submission wrestling. In 2010 he started his pursuit of BJJ in Hawaii. After attending the BJJ Globetrotters Summercamp and reading The BJJ Globetrotter, he decided to ply his trade traveling around the globe teaching wrestling. Eric owns and operates Takedown Nation and you’ll often hear him say “Wrestling is easy” and “when in doubt, double leg!”


Chad Wright

Chad is a  BJJ black belt under Neil Owen and the CEO of Infinity Martial Arts, which he founded in 2006 and has now grown to 10 franchises in Australia and the UK.  He is an avid world traveler and BJJ in Paradise’s official party director.


Cesar Osorio

Cesar is one of Mexico’s first black belts and a member of Team Carvalho. He teaches and trains out of Osorio’s MMA in Oaxaca City, Mexico. Cesar is known for coaching and training many of Mexico’s top MMA and BJJ fighters.


Alvaro Fernandez

Alvaro is a BJJ brown belt and instructor on the world famous Renzo Gracie team under Mario Delgado in Mexico City. He teaches at Renzo Gracie Interlomas and Bonebreakers Mexico City.


Brad Wolfson

Brad Wolfson is a first degree black belt instructor and owner of Soulcraft Martial Arts. He has taught and trained all over the world and is known for his detailed and technical approach to BJJ for smaller athletes. Brad began his BJJ training in 1997 at the world famous Gracie Academy and has over 17 years experience teaching and learning directly from the Gracie Family and their top students. As a the first American promoted to black belt under Master Marcio Stambowsky, Brad strives to pass on the knowledge and experience he has in the art to every student he meets.
